Leeds centre-half Tom Lees won his fourth cap for England U21's when he came off the bench to play his part in England's resounding victory over Sweden.
Lees was originally named on the bench, but he stepped onto the field with fifteen minutes to go with England home and dry at that point.
The academy product replaced Adam Smith (who had a loan spell with the Whites from Spurs last season) at right-back. Moments later England made it 4-0 thanks to Conor Wickham who continues to impress on the youth international stage.
England were 3-0 up at half-time after a barnstorming first half which saw Tom Ince grab two and Liverpool's Jono Shelvey net in the 30th minute.
Last night's game saw England break a record of seven straight wins which puts them in good stead ahead of the European Championship finals in Israel later this year.
Leeds' Paul Green, Chris Dawson, and Rodolph Austin are all in action for their countries this week and we will be bringing you an update on their performances as soon as they've played.
