Stoke Striker Linked With Loan Move to Leeds

Stay connected for news and updates

Leeds United are apparently one of several clubs looking at Stoke City striker Mamady Sidibe.

According to Skysports, Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday, Barnsley and Derby County are all after Sidibe who hasn't been included in Stoke's 25 man squad for the Premier League this year.

In recent years, the Mali international has had some horrid luck with injuries. The 32-year-old has suffered two torn Achilles tendons and a dislocated knee cap which was meant the big target man hasn't played since August 2010.

Neil Warnock has spoken recently about his desire for a new striker and midfielder, due to United's small squad and current injury crisis. Jermaine Jenas is one player currently on the radar but any move for Jenas, Sidibe or other targets depends on cash availability.
