Yorkshire Evening Post's Chief football writer Phil Hay suggests that a possible takeover of Leeds United is still on and couldn't be any closer.
Leeds' apparent investment/takeover deal has been going on throughout the summer with many giving up hope after weeks and weeks of lack of progression or movement.
Last week's news from the Supporters Trust that a takeover had collapsed caused many fans to revolt and dread the prospect of another wasted season.
As Hay suggests, there was or is still some legal proceedings to be done but a takeover could be very close. I'm refusing to be excited, I know it's apparently close but still we're used to so much bad news. Below are the tweets from Hay which suggest a deal is still on and close.

#lufc have been relentless this week. A deal could hardly be much closer. Update in tomorrow's YEP
Last I heard, there were "necessary legal matters" still to resolve. But the feeling is that there's not much talking left to be done— Phil Hay (@PhilHayYEP) August 17, 2012
Worth saying that the "necessary legal matters" re the takeover are real issues and still crucial to the deal being done— Phil Hay (@PhilHayYEP) August 17, 2012
