Leeds United have made their second signing in as many days as Derby County midfielder Paul Green becomes Neil Warnock's third summer acquisition.Green has followed the lead of Adam Drury and has signed a two year contract starting from July 1st. The Pontefract born midfielder has worn the 'Green' of the Republic of Ireland and his appearances include an outing against Spain in the Euros last week. The 29 year old has amassed over 400 club appearances in his career which has included stints at Doncaster and Derby County where he plyed his trade for four years.
United's busy manager, Neil Warnock, had this to say on his latest new arrival:
"Paul is another player I've been after for a long time, but obviously he was called up by Ireland for the European Championships so we've had to be a bit patient. I've seen him grow from his days at Doncaster and I'm delighted to have him here. I've always thought that he is a player who can create goals as well as score them, and he has just the type attitude we need at Elland Road."
Jason Pearce, Adam Drury and now Paul Green have joined the club so far this summer and two signings in two days should have gone a long way to putting United followers minds at rest. Hopefully Neil Warnock will continue to bring in players over the next few weeks as he looks to completely reshape his squad for next season.
