George Dempsey previews today's clash at the KC stadium.
Today Leeds United visit Hull City in an all Yorkshire Clash at KC Stadium which kicks off at 12.30pm, and I’d probably have to say this is the hardest away game we've had so far this season.
Hull are sitting 2nd in the table and have put together a team that looks capable of getting back to the Premiership for another crack.
Hull drew 0-0 with Leicester on Saturday, a result which they won’t be overly happy with but it was a clean sheet and another good result.
For Leeds, I’m afraid, Mr. Warnock got it a little bit wrong in my opinion. Michael Tonge is of course a big blow as I was a massive fan of what he did in the middle. Still, however, with the return of certain players I felt we had good depth that wasn't used early enough in the second half.
I also think Rudolph Austin shouldn't of been on the pitch. We know what Rudolph can do, he’s an awesome player at this level, and I think it’s unfair he was thrown straight in to this sort of game and it was only detrimental to both us and him.
It won’t be very often we say this over the next few years I’m almost certain, but on this one occasion the manager did get it a little bit wrong.
Today I’ll be expecting to see a different midfield as well as a bigger inclusion for Ross which does give us a bit more depth to play with.
It will still however be a tough game and realistically I can’t throw myself at too many tips, but the one big positive for us is I can’t see past our ability to always score – even against this clean sheet fond Hull City side.
Another positive is the fact Hull City have failed to score in none of their first 8 home games, but now have in 3 of their last 4.
I still personally think both teams to score @ 1.75 with Stan James is my favourite bet in this game, but the second bet I’m going to go with goes with my thinking that whatever happens come full time, Hull will be hard to break down earlier whilst Neil will certainly make sure we’re a lot tighter than Boxing Day, even if it does only last for the first half again.
I also fancy the highest scoring half to be the second half @ 2.10 with William Hill.
