Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has made it known that Dougie Freedman is available for transfer but in somewhat of a surprising announcement, Leeds will not be making a bid. Chairman Ken Bates in discussing the situation acknowledged the tremendous addition he was to the club last year but reaffirmed the clubs commitment to younger players: "We have to look forward not back. Our future is in youth."
