Blackpool and Sheffield Wednesday Enter the Race for Joel Ward
Leeds United's attempt to complete the signing of Joel Ward may have hit a snitch after it emerged that two new clubs have entered the race for the Portsmouth player.
Blackpool and Sheffield Wednesday have now been linked with the 22-year-old who looked to be joining Leeds just last week.
The Swiss Ramble Studies Leeds United's Finances
Today has been another fine example of Leeds United's wage policy once again failing to meet the needs of our best players.
It's a broken record and the same every season despite the new promises from Mr.Bates and Shaun Harvey. As some of you may know already, Ross McCormack is set to reject his new contract offered to him last month.
Leigh Bromby Thanks Everyone as He Starts Road to Recovery
It seems a lifetime ago since Leigh Bromby suffered his horror injury away to Cardiff in April.
But the big centre-half is recuperating after surgery and has spoken of his gratitude for the fans support during a very difficult period for him.
United Waiting on Ward While Green Rumour Refuses to go Away
The Whites are today still waiting on the decision of potentially their second signing of the close season. Rumours continued to circulate last week about the Ward and Leeds connection and finally things began to materialise between the player and club when United opened talks with the 22-year-old's agent.
Warnock sees no problem with Leeds' budget
Warnock's response when asked if there was any problem with the budget at Leeds United:
"No not at all because I'm realistic about what we can afford. I know the players' wages that we're going to lose and what we can bring in. As long as I don't overspend that money I'm saving etc I don't see a problem.
I'm not throwing money stupidly. I'm trying to get value for money and at the same time I'm trying to get the hunger and the drive and the sort of quality we need at Elland Road, which I think has been lacking."

Joel Ward and Leeds United in Talks Over Possible Move Away from Portsmouth UPDATED
The Joel Ward to Leeds United rumours has been mentioned here and there for a couple of weeks.
It all started when Jason Pearce appeared a dead cert to be our first signing of the summer. Ward along with David Norris and Luke Varney were also linked.
The real sign of movement with this transfer came last night when the Daily Mail reported that United had won the race to sign the versatile Pompey player. As you may have seen from the link...it wasn't much of a story. This resulted in me and a few others being fairy sceptical about the rumour, despite Pompey boss saying the pair were like peas in a pod.
